PLEASE NOTE:

The Mahikeng Local Municipality follows a policy of affirmative procurement. Bids will be evaluated in terms of the 80/20 preference point system as prescribed in the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (No. 5 of 2000) and Regulation of 2022

Bidders wishing to be considered should submit the following, Failure to submit the requirement will result in disqualification:

- Municipal bidding documents (original, fully completed and signed where necessary)

- Tax Status of the bidders must be compliant as at closing of the bid and will be verified through CSD.

- Joint venture agreement signed by both principal partners if bidding as a joint venture

- Original certified copy of the I.D of the directors of the company.

- Proof of company registration documents;

- Recent Central Supplier Database Report.

- Registration certificates from professional bodies were applicable

- Copy of Municipal Services account of the directors of the company AND that of the company (not older than 3 months), and not more than 3 months in arrears

- The bid is only for SANAS accredited inspection bodies and only bidders that have submitted proof of SANAS Accreditation certificates as part of their proposals will be considered. Failure to provide the SANAS accreditation will be disqualified / or lease agreement in respect of rentals or Tribal Authority letter as proof of residence (where the business operates).

Preferential points:
• Enterprise owned by black people with at least 51% shareholding-2
• Enterprise owned by black woman with at least 30% shareholding-4
• Enterprise owned by black youth with at least 51% shareholding-4
• Enterprise owned by black people with disabilities with at least 51% shareholding-4
• Enterprise with B-BBEE status level 1(one) to 4(four)-2
• Local supplier within the Mahikeng Local
Municipality Geographical Area-4

The following conditions will also apply:

No late/e-mailed/faxed proposals document will be accepted
Each bid must be in legible writing using non-erasable black ink, and tippexed (correction pen) document will not be accepted
Only sealed bid will be accepted
Price(s) quoted must be valid for at least 90 days from date of offer and include VAT.
The appointed bidder(s) maybe subjected to security vetting

Sealed bid marked “The Description of The Bid” must be delivered to the bid box situated at the main entrance of the Municipal Head Office (Cnr Hector Peterson and University Drive – Mmabatho) not later than the date and time stated on the advert and tender documents where quotes will be opened in public.
