Lovers turned collaborators in a shared office space that doubles as your home isn’t the easiest transition to make – but it’s one that couples across the globe had to become familiar with over this whirlwind of a year. Finding time to reconnect romantically can be difficult. Making it vital to find moments of quiet where you and your partner can unwind and rekindle the flame of romance from time to time.
In this video, we follow fashion content creators, Lwandile Makhaza and Thikhedzo Matakanye, as they venture out to rekindle some TLC and squeeze in some content creation at the tranquil Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa.
Tucked away in the cosy foothills of the Zwartkops Mountains in the Cradle of Humankind, Krugersdorp, the mesmerising Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa is a quick 40-minute drive from the metropolitan hubs of Pretoria and Sandton. Set up with sixty suites that surround and overlook six glistening fly-fishing dams and the lower reaches of the Blaauwbank Spruit that winds its way through the plush Zwartkops gorge. The quaint but majestic nature reserve that serves as the grounds of Kloofzicht runs wild with a range of bushbucks - particularly; kudu, impala, blue wildebeest, eland, red hartebeest, springbok, gemsbok, zebra, along with a wide range of birdlife that roams and flies the area. This gives guests a taste of the SA bush without having to drive too far out.
Buckled up in the comfortable and airy Land Rover Discovery SUV, Lwandile and Thikhedzo share their love and passion for going on new discoveries. “When experiencing things you discover things within yourself as well,” Thikhedzo explains. They explain that discovering new parts of yourself is just as important as discovering new places. Lwandile adds that when you explore new things with your partner – it adds a bonding element that brings couples closer. “I think new experiences – when we experience that together, it’s like a bonding experience as well. We get to discover new things about each other and make new memories,” she says.
