Invitation for submission of details of private Psychiatrists and Psychologists (Clinical, counselling and educational) who are prepared to conduct Assessments of Criminal Capacity of Children in terms of Section 11(3) of the Child Justice Act Section 1(a) and (b) of the Regulation to the Child Justice Act (as amended), declares the Psychiatrists and Psychologists (Clinical, Counselling and Educational) as clinicians that are competent to conduct the assessment of criminal capacity of a child between the age of 12-14 years referred in in terms of Section 11(3) of the Act. The Department hereby invites private Psychiatrists and Psychologists (Clinical, Counselling and Educational) who wish to conduct criminal capacity assessments of children in terms of the section 11 of the Child Justice Act to submit their details for inclusion in the national list for the 2024/25 financial year. Interested psychiatrists and psychologists must submit the following information: - Full names, - contact details, - business and - residential address and your area of interest (criminal capacity assessments of children in terms of the Child Justice Act) ...using a form that is obtainable from the Department of Health website at www.doh.gov.za. The completed form should be accompanied by a proof of current registration with the relevant professional body. Kindly note that the contracting and remuneration processes for this work will be handled by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development.
