Minimum Requirements |
• A Bachelor’s degree/NQF Level 7 in Public/Local Government/Municipal Administration/Law/Social Sciences or equivalent • Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage • A Certificate in Municipal Finance Management Programme (MFMP) or Certificate Programme in Municipal Development (CPMD) in line with Minimum Regulations on Competency Levels as prescribed by National Treasury Government Gazette No: 29967 of June 2007 and Gazette No 41996 of 2018 or should be attainable within 18 months from the date of appointment • Registration with the recognised relevant professional body will be an added advantage. Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s licence. Work Related Experience: • 5 years or more at Upper/Middle Management Level • Proven successful transformation within the public or private sector. |

Fulfill the role of administrative Head of thePublic Transport and Safety Department. Plan, direct and manage directorial functions of the directorate effectively and efficiently: • Manage the following units: Law Enforcement and Security, Licencing and Testing, Emergency and Disaster Management and Traffic Services • Implement Council resolutions in a timely manner and follow up on directions given • Formulation and implementation of the Directorate’s Integrated Development Planning Directorate’s budget preparation and management • Development and implementation of the Directorate’s Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Plan • Maintenance of the Directorate’s performance management system and annual reporting • Directorate’s human resource development and management and supervision of departmental staff including industrial relations • Communicate effectively with all persons and organisations concerned • Attending and implementing Council and Mayoral Committee meetings and submitting reports • Reports directly to the Municipal Manager • Ensure that the Department at Moretele Local Municipality does annual risk assessments and report to Council • Facilitate the formulation and review of municipal by-laws and policies. |
