Minimum Requirements |
• A Bachelor`s degree in Accounting/ Finance / Economics/ Commerce • Must meet minimum competency requirements in terms of National Treasury Regulations of 2007, Certificate Programme in Management and Development qualifications or be in the process of acquiring such in the next 18 months after appointment • Understanding of municipal legislative framework, policies and regulations • Five years’ experience in middle management preferably in the Public Sector • A valid driving licence |

Key Performance Areas |
Provision of strategic leadership for all functional areas in the finance department • Ensure municipality complies with all legislation relating to financial management • Perform duties such as budgeting, analysis, financial reporting, cash and debt management and any other duties as may be delegated by the accounting officer • Develop, oversee and development of financial management related policies • Develop and implement strategies to ensure effective and sustainable financial performance and financial viability of the municipality • Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles within the finance department • Compile reports as required by finance management legislation and regulations Applications in the municipal application forms obtainable from the municipal website, www.drabxuma.gov.za, accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae, originally certified copies of qualifications, ID, and driving licence. |
