Minimum Requirements

Candidates must hold a National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF 6) or equivalent IT qualification, N+ Network Administration, A+ Computer Technician.  An ITIL qualification and SAGE common tools would be an added advantage.   A minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT Service Desk and Networking.

Key Performance Areas

Provide comprehension endpoint management, troubleshooting, maintenance and support – desktop and access switch; LAN and telephone troubleshooting and cabling; Resolve service desk issues; Setup new stations; Install Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 with Exchange/Outlook, Novell Groupwise Mail, Symantec Antivirus and required software;  Assist with implementations of IT projects; Assist with data protection services; Contribute to the AV and virtual meeting functions; Assist with active directory user/computer administration; Contribute to IT budget and IT policies and procedures; Contribute to IT disaster recovery and business continuity; Serve on the disaster recovery team; Contribute to all reporting processes of the IT unit by providing the necessary operational and other information; Assist with IT specification and submission of requisition for IT goods and services and Conduct computer training as and when required.
